SDG Council

Sustainable Development Goals Council was inaugurated on 5th September, 2018. With an aim of creating awareness about the 17 Goals set by the United Nations in 2015, it provides new avenues for the youth to learn and implement their ideas in making a blueprint for a sustainable future. The Council’s objective is to look at the SDGs at various levels through the lens of the youth and arrive at new innovative ideas that can challenge the existing problems across the globe. In the light of this, a lot of activities like discussions, movie screenings, case study analysis, etc. are conducted in order to have an in depth knowledge about issues to act upon them. Interactions with eminent personalities from think tanks, Diplomatic Missions, UN agencies, etc. are also organized to find some solutions to the problems that the 17 SDGs address. The council not only focuses on India but also studies other countries through various bilateral forums of Global Youth.
