JESUS AND MARY COLLEGE

The Jesus and Mary College chapter of Global Youth India was started in 2013 and is a part of an apolitical, non-profit organization that seeks to educate and empower youth ambassadors. The JMC chapter aims to create a platform for the discussion and debate of some of the most pressing global issues. The chapter has organised several external events at the India International Centre with various ambassadors. The chapter union has also regularly held internal college events like MUN style Debates and Discussions, Quizzes and Mock MUNs. Apart from this, the members regularly write articles on foreign policy issues and work on research papers.

Shambhavi Mishra - President - JMC chapter

Shambhavi is a final year student pursuing Political Science honors from Jesus and Mary College , Delhi University. She is a keen international relations and foreign policy enthusiast, and someone who truly believes in the potential of young minds to bring about radical transformations in the world. Being a member of Global Youth has contributed immensely to how her outlook on foreign policy has refined over the past two years, and she hopes to contribute more to the field.

Avani Sawney - Vice President - JMC chapter

Avani is a final year student pursuing B.A programme (Computer- Application - Advertising,Sales Promotion and Sales Management) at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She is intrigued by diverse cultures and has a keen interest in understanding global affairs. She loves art, photography, and anything affiliated with creativity. Being a part of Global Youth has widened her horizons on various themes and subject matters. She hopes that her this year in Global Youth would be as prodigious as it has always been.

Vasvi Ahluwalia- General Secretary - JMC chapter

Vasvi Ahluwalia is a second year student pursuing political science honours from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. Due to her ardent love for political science, she has a keen interest in Indian politics, international relations and diplomacy. She is an avid debater and public speaker. Being a part of Global Youth since the past one year has helped her understand the intricate world of international relations in a much more nuanced way. For her, Global Youth provides an appropriate platform for the youth of today to come together and deliberate on issues which have a lasting impact on the world around them.
