The relationship between India and Sri Lanka is more than 2,500 years old. Both countries have a legacy of intellectual, cultural, religious and linguistic interaction. India now offers about 710 scholarship slots annually to Sri Lankan students, including study in Sri Lanka and in India.
The forum also wishes to establish a successful relationship with the embassy, have International members onboard and facilitate discussion, flow of ideas and cultural exchange.
Aarushi Giri, Chairperson
Aarushi is a third year political science undergraduate and Conflict transformation and Peace building diploma student from Lady Shri Ram College for Women. With a strange disposition to combine English and Hindi in the weirdest possible way in the syntax formation, she is always in the quest to discover the answers to her "how, what, when and why" in life.
Her penchant for International relations and zeal to study the amalgamation of politics and policy making, has intrigued her to be a part of Global Youth India. As the chairperson of the India-USA Youth forum, she is looking forward to exploring the nuances of the international political ecosystem in a more refined manner.
Nishtha Singh, Deputy Chairperson
Nishtha Singh is a second-year History Honors student at Delhi Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. International relations have long captivated her curiosity. Being a confident orator, she aspires to influence the world by her words and deeds.
